On September 26th and 27th, I attended the Oculus Connect 5 conference in San Jose, CA, which focuses on everything, of course, Oculus. The really big news coming out of that conference is the all new Oculus Quest, a standalone HMD with full 6 degrees of freedom. I tried it and I have to tell you this is a game changer. I see this HMD appearing in the enterprise powering many upcoming training experiences. Beyond the announcement, I attended many sessions including one, where Walmart, Oculus and Strivr spoke about the recent announcement of Walmart purchasing 17,000 Oculus Gos to train their entire workforce. That was a great session learning how this was done and it also help solidify, at least in my mind, that VR is truly the future in the enterprise. I was also lucky enough to interview many people about VR and it’s future. What follows are 7 interviews with VR creators from Catapult Games, Emovji, Force Field VR, VR Health, Strivr, Talespin and Stormborn.
– DANE JENNINGS FROM CATAPULT GAME
– SARAH HASHKES FROM EMOVJI
– MARTIN DE RONDE FROM FORCE FIELD VR
– ERAN ORR FROM VR HEALTH
– KRISTINA BASSI FROM STRIVR
– JEROEN DE CLOE FROM TALESPIN
– ALEJANDRO ECHEVERRI FROM STORMBORN STUDIO
